What type of computers support Awning Composer?
Awning Composer runs on PCs and Macs running Windows. Specifically, there are two main requirements:
1) Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, or 11
2) DirectX 9.0c compatible 3D graphics hardware

Does it work on a Mac?
Yes, as long as you can run Windows on the Mac. See the System Requirements page for details.
Does it work on an iPad?
No. However, it does work on Windows tablets. These tablets cover a range of sizes and shapes, some being similar to the iPad, but are full-fledged computers that generally have greater processing power, storage, USB connectivity, and compatibility with a wide range of software and hardware.
Does it work on tablets?
Yes. Awning Composer works on tablets running Windows 8, 8.1, or 10. Android tablets and iPads are not compatible.
Which tablet should I buy?
Awning Composer works with Windows tablets. We recommend a Microsoft Surface.
How long will it take for me to learn how to use the software?
Awning Composer uses a very simple point-and-click (or touch) interface. Within a few minutes you will be comfortable bringing awnings into a scene and positioning them on the picture of a building. Realistically it will take you 2 or 3 hours to become very comfortable with using Awning Composer, but no prior graphics experience is needed.
What do you offer to assist in learning how to use the software?
Awning Composer includes documentation that can be read on the computer, searched by keyword (for example "valance"), and printed. We also recommend you visit our video Training section, which will provide the basics on how to use Awning Composer.
What happens if I have problems or need assistance?

What happens when new fabrics are released into the marketplace?
Every year we add new fabrics to and remove discontinued fabrics from Awning Composer. These updates are posted on our Updates page for download and are free of charge.
