System Requirements - Older Computers
Awning Composer 5 requires a display adapter that is compatible with DirectX 9.0c. Most PCs from 2005 and later (and Macs from 2007 and later) are compatible. Compatibility can be confirmed by identifying the display adapter installed in the computer and checking its specifications in its user manual, manufacturer's website, or one of the following pages:

Devices listed in classes 1-4 should be compatible, while class 5 is borderline and class 6 is incompatible.
The following very old Intel graphics chipsets are not supported: 910/915, 945, GMA500/600
In some cases, an older computer can be upgraded by installing a display adapter (also known as a graphics card). However, for best results, we recommend using a newer computer if possible.
